This is something every Christian/Follower of Messiah knows. However, I see it being twisted into something that isn’t love but called “love”. If we go back to the source behind Yeshua’s words, we see that we are to love others as ourselves. Even people not in our clique. Even people not in our community. Even people that we disagree with. We are to show them love, like we would love ourselves.

I see many that call out things that are sins, or perceived sins, and name call or blast these people in public forums, but is that how our Messiah acted out His love? When the woman was caught in adultery, did he look at her and say “whore, get away from me and stop sinning?” No, he showed her compassion, while keeping the Father’s Torah, and then made the request that she stopped sinning. He didn’t have to point out the sin, she knew. Same with the person that could not walk that Yeshua healed on the Sabbath. “Your sins are forgiven”. We don’t know what the man did, but we don’t need to, he knew, and he had a repentant heart or Yeshua would not have said as such.

We are not the Holy Spirit. We shouldn’t try to take its place. Can we call out something that we see someone doing and let them know? Sure, but in a loving way. Loving isn’t blasting it all over the internet for all to see. Or even much like I do here, give some commentary. Show the Scriptures that someone out there may be missing out on. Let them seek, not you seek for them.

I know I am not totally right on everything. I am not called to be, nor do I believe anyone is currently able to be totally right on everything. The important thing is we try and we have an open and humble heart. If we have that humble heart, we would show that compassion to others and not put their sins out on display. We would treat others as we would want to be treated. We would follow in our Messiah’s footsteps and be shown as His disciples.
