Another commonly thrown out argument against keeping the Sabbath is that Jesus is our Sabbath now. Just because Jesus died for us and rose, does not negate the need for our bodies to physically rest. Also, Paul seemed to think it was still important to keep the Sabbath after Jesus rose.
Acts 13:13-15 (Paul keeps Sabbath)
Acts 13:42-45 (Paul keeps 2 Sabbaths)
Acts 16:11-13 (Paul keeps Sabbath)
Acts 17:1-2 (Paul keeps 3 Sabbaths)
There are others as well. The driving verses here is the last which talks of Paul going to the synagogues and reasoning with the Scriptures on Sabbath was his custom; a habit, a thing he did all the time. I have heard the argument for this, and other things Paul did that were from the Law, as him appeasing the Jews. However, there is no Scripture to back this up. The only way you could read that into what Paul was doing is if you read his letters to be contrary to the rest of Scripture, meaning having Paul preach a different gospel. The Bible from Genesis to Revelation tells one coherent message: God made us, He loves us, we messed up, He wants us to come back.
In order for us to come back though, we have to be good. Not just good as in what the world calls good, but what He calls good. We are so far removed from Adam and Eve *WE* do not have all knowledge of good and evil like they did. We are being influenced by the world around us and everyone and their opinion on what good and evil is. God tells us what is good and what is evil in His Torah, His Law. Sabbath is on the list of things God calls good. After all Sabbath was made for man (meaning it is beneficial for us to keep), not man for the Sabbath (as in not something we have to work to do, because there should be no work done!)
Deuteronomy 30:15: See, I have set before you today life and good, death and evil.
