During a recent discussion, this came to mind. There is a lot of misconception out there that the Law and the Covenant with Israel (aka Mosaic Covenant) are one in the same. Scripturally, this is not the case. We even see in Jeremiah 31 that the Law plays a part in the New Covenant. Instead of us trying to place it on our hearts, God does that for us.

Another note on the Covenant with Israel: Some will say that it ended with the Cross. I can see their point. Looking at it from a point that the husband of the covenant (Yeshua) was still alive, it was still in place to say that Israel could not come back due to their being divorced.

I am looking at it from a standpoint of that divorce. Once the divorce happened (which happened because they broke the covenant), Israel was no longer under that covenant.
