This collection of verses in the first panel is often used to disprove a second coming of Jesus. The statement is that Jesus is saying those he was talking to at the time were who this statement was meant for. So his second coming had to happen before all of them died.
The issue here is he wasn’t talking about a second coming here. If we read this section in context we see right after he makes these statements it lists an event that happened about a week later. One that hits all the points Jesus just said those who would not die until they see it would see. See the Son of Man in his Father’s glory. The Father calls out during the transfiguration stating “This is my Son, the Chosen One”. That there would be holy angels. Angel means messenger, and who were two holy messengers of God? Moses and Elijah. Through Moses God gave us the commandments, His Law. Elijah is looked at as the one to ready the path for the Messiah.
We can’t read things in bubbles and take a verse out of context to prove our points. We have to consider everything around it. We also have to consider the rest of the Word.
