There is not a lot mentioned in Scripture on what it means to honor your father and mother. The verses that do talk about interactions with them cover not hitting or cursing them, and listening to them. Yeshua later talks of still doing things for them after you leave the house when he confronts the Pharisees about their tradition of corban. As it is mentioned in Ephesians, this is the first commandment with a promise. Be good to your parents.
